Adam showed an alteration to the L4 FIB during his talk @Oxford. Points for discussion:
- Feasibility of the angled MTP connector (what angles might be achieved with the length of the fibres).
- Mounting strength and options of the MTP connector clamp.
- Design options that can be transferred to the L3 and disk variants.

Points for note:
- VTRx+ fibre pigtail bend radius ≥ 15 mm.
- 55 mm VTRx+means a nominal fibre length of 27.41 mm (±2 mm)
- ∴ 25.4 mm minimum fibre length.
- Theoretical maximum angle = 97.0° (ArcLength × 360 / [CurveDiam × π]).
- Radius of 16.17014 mm would give a 90° bend.
- Radius of 32.3403 mm would give a 45° bend.
