The workshop focuses on the behavior of complex fluids at structured interfaces with emphasis on superhydrophobic surfaces and liquid flow over heterogeneous solids, complex fluids at patterned surfaces and surface-directed colloidal self-assembly. The workshop provides an informal venue for theorists and experimentalists to present their latest results in the above fields of research and discuss the challenges at the forefront of the field. Because of the informal nature of the workshop, student attendance is strongly encouraged. The workshop is co-sponsored by DOE and the European Commission under the Marie Curie FP7-People program grant number PIRSES-GA-2010-269181-CLASS.
