D-theory Algebra for Quantum Computing

Description

A new microstructure for lattice field theory (called D-theory or the QCD abacus) was introduce 20 years ago by Brower-Chandrasekharan-Wiese which  replaced all (spin, gauge and quark) fields by a sparse distribution of single fermionic bits.  The talk will discuss the options consistent with the D-theory algebraic constraints required by universality in mapping from  fermions bit to Pauli matrix Qubit suited to  digital quantum computing algorithms. The special role of gauge symmetry and the use of pseudo-fermion in a simplified Jordon-Wigner transformation will be explained in the context of QCD and U(1) electrodynamics quantum.
