Description

Jet substructure techniques are powerful tools to probe the perturbative regime of jet evolution in proton-proton and heavy-ion collisions. Over the past few years, a wide variety of substructure observables have been proposed in order to pin down specific aspects of jet dynamics in a quark-gluon plasma. In this talk, I will review some of them, such as Soft Drop, Lund plane and Dynamical Grooming observables. Within a factorized picture for jet radiations in a dense medium, I will try to highlight the main perturbative mechanisms which drive the medium modifications of these observables.
