Qiskit is an open-source platform for research in quantum computing. It is widely used in academia and industry, with approximately 25K downloads per month. In this talk I will discuss some of the capabilities of the software and demo some examples, from gate characterization to compilation and running small applications on IBM's hardware. Beside the software tutorial, I will also be interested in learning from the audience about the types of works that a quantum information software could help them with.
