Description

Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (JLab) have recently made a Call for Collaboration Proposals for Detectors at the Electron Ion Collider (seehttps://www.bnl.gov/eic/CFC.php for more details).

In response to this call, the BNL nuclear physics community is playing a role in two of the major efforts that are now forming.

ECCE, with BNL institutional representative Peter Steinberg https://www.ecce-eic.org and EIC@IP6, with BNL institutional representative Thomas Ullrich https://sites.temple.edu/eicatip6/

 The two institutional representatives will introduce each detector and present their initial plans for the physics program, detector design, and collaboration.
