Updated FST simulation studies by Ping (LANL):

Ping presented the updated FST geometries integrated with the LBNL silicon barrel vertex detector in the Fun4All. The integrated vertex/tracking detector provides better tracking momentum/DCA resolution in the central region. Detailed layout includes the readout, cooling, support structure has been shown as well. Will evalue the tracking performance.

Suggestions:

1, the hadron beam pipe in the forward going direction is asymmetric in x-z plane, need to reevaluate the geometries of the FST inner radius.

2, to update the FST geometry to mitigate the efficiency drop in the 1.0<eta<1.5 region.

3, explore the tracking reconstruction algorithm to evaluated the tracking efficiency.
