  1. Wenqing — low momentum cut off effect on lambda_c and D0 reconstruction
    • RICH PID performance has a momentum threshold (low p cut off). This cut off will affect the HF reconstruction
    • fast simulation:
      • includes detector response is included in fast simulation
      • assigns PID efficiency on K/pi/p based on Pythia event multiplicity
    • Summary:
      • Lambda_c reconstruction benefit from low momentum cut off with smaller statistical error
      • low momentum cut off does not affect D0 significantly
      • The Lambda_c reconstruction study shows the Babar magnet give comparable statistical error compare to the BeAST magnet (1.2% or ~20% worse with the Babar magnet) as the Babar magnet will give lower momentum cut off
    • Comments:
      • Full simulation is needed, but the optical properties of the RICH detectors are not implemented properly in Fun4All. Jin suggested using the PID probability tables from the PID group in the full simulation analysis.
      • Is ACTS available in Fun4All? ACTS can be used for barrel trackers
      • Can we combine this study with jets study? A dedicated analysis module is needed.

  2. Wangmei — Physics interests of USCT
    • Summary of EIC physics topics related to HF and jets
    • USCT is interested in jet modification to study energy lost in CNM, HF ReA and di-hadron correlations

  3. Plan toward detector proposal
    • spread sheet for documents everyone’s plan and interest
    • encourage analysis notes to documents work progress
