MC-data comparison meeting

Sections to be written: 

• Introduction 

  • Needs to be written. We will add this after all the other sections are complete. 

• Tools: 

  • We need a subsection on Sherpa 2. Markus will follow up with Stefan Hoeche. 

• Section comparing Pythia 6 and Pythia 8:

  • We will show that Pythia 6 and Pythia 8 are in good agreement and we thus only use Pythia 8 for the comparison studies with the HERA data.

    • Zhengqiao will add his draft section, including this table with the comparison of the cross section and all of his plots.  

    • Christian and Ilkka will edit it. 

  • The section will include details on the version of Pythia 6 used and some guidance for what EIC studies Pythia 6 can be still used. 

    • We will follow up with Elke on this. 

• Sections on the MC-data comparisons: 

  • Akhil, Chinmay, Markus, Prabi, and Vaibhavi will work on how to present the MC-data comparisons in a way that the studies can be easily reproduced and will then update the whole section accordingly. 

  • Akhil will work with Christian to how to update the plots from IIT Bombay to the Rivet plotting style.

  • Akhil will also add three additional studies. 

• Conclusion

  • We will work on this section in our next meeting (when the sections on the Pythia 6 - Pythia8 and MC-data comparisons are complete).
