Barrel aerogel RICH proposal for ALICE upgrade 5m
        Speaker: Antonello Di Mauro (CERN)

both aerogel + readout with SPADs, lot of space for synergic R&D with EIC-ALICE

aerogel, the Japanese one for aRICH of Belle 2 is fantastic, but not produced by industry. big effort from chem.lab. the real problem of this aerogel is to create condition in Japan to have similar effort repeated (not obvious).

use in the barrel of SiPM can be critical at the EIC, due to radiation aspects. noise figure optimistic (do not believe you can cut so tight in real life).

        total radial size.

      AoB 5m

In case there is any other business to discuss, we can take it here. If discussion takes longer than 5 minutes, it means that it needs a proper space and will be point for next week.
