• News from the SDCC
    • Overleaf - finally moving forward, staff working on deploying the service. Should be available in +2weeks or so. The service will not be integrated with FederatedId
    • All Grid submission should be smooth and working on the BNL side (reminder, found expired CERTificate for the service and fixed)
    • ECCE production folks identified as: Cameron, David and Jin [if monitoring, will start with them]. We discussed what resources are being used (sPHENIX or really the EIC reserved slots?). A mix but idea was to make sure the EIC slots would be used (the pool at BNL is opportunistic so if slots frm other experiments are not used, there will be more slots at the end). As a reminder, the number of slots was reduced from 2,000 to 1,207 slots (CPU were re-allocated to a DOE task)
    • FederatedId use at BNL - a meeting was held at BNL with the site office. No pushback for now apart from the fact that BHSO does not want to have gmail.com (the broad Federation anyone in the world could join) accepted at BNL. IT trying to understand its consequence.
  • New topics
    • There is a DOE Google offering for gmail and google suite and google services (Cloud) - investigating if this is of interest at BNL. What are JLab's plans?
    • S3 - noted that at some stage, access protection will be separated and have ECCE and ATHENA as two separate protection group. This will prevent accidental deletion from one to the other.
    • 1/2 PBytes of additional storage is on the way and would be added to S3 (after investigating aorund, found a cheaper offer with minimal delays and jumped on it). This is the only additional storage we will get.
  • We discussed the production workflow progress
    • Now integrated to S3 writing with GPFS intermediate but tried 2 jobs with full integration
      • Encapsulated secret into a script
      • Made sure the directories are deleted before the job exists
      • Worked smoothly
    • 4k jobs running on the OSG, all jobs started within 1 hour
    • Reminder - S3 space monitoring is in place at BNL and available at/as

    • EIC workspace was asked - a reminder that we have two data space on GPFS at BNL
/eic/data/ (6 TB) and /gpfs02/eic/DATA (400 TB). Please verify the proper space is used.
    • We discussed the ECCE POC for the ECCG: Cameron Dean is nominated.
