Description

Recent experimental success of detecting the spin polarization of hadrons in heavy-ion collisions enables us to extract the properties of fluid vorticity and spin information (angular momenta transfer, spin transport, etc) of QGP and leads us to a new era of QGP "spintronics". I will discuss some phenomenological issues regarding the spin polarization and vorticity in QGP including (1) the vortical structure of QGP and how it is reflected in spin polarization of hadrons, (2) the hydrodynamic framework to describe the spin transport in QGP, (3) some puzzles (and the recent efforts to resolve them) in interpreting the current experimental data.
