In heavy-ion collisions, the medium is excited by jet propagation and transports some portion of jet energy and momentum. In this study, we explore the effect of this medium response systematically with its different prescriptions: weakly coupled description by recoiling partons versus strongly coupled description with hydrodynamics. We found that the difference between the prescriptions manifests when there exists the background medium flow.
