Facility News and Announcements:

  • NSLS II shutdown  announced for Dec 18th - Jan 19th

Network:

  • New ATLAS HPSS Mover systems - installed, fiber uplink deployment pending

Experimental Computing:

  • CSI/Quantum - working on reviewer menus
  • Google offering - checks with cyber security requirements
  • InvenioRDM - Testing new release/version. Discussion for similar functionality/features as the Invenio at CERN
  • Jupyter/FederatedID  - ATLAS context. Cyber security checks okay. Discussion and testing the account creation/usage

IT Fabric:

  • LQCD/CAD HPSS Purchase - in CDCE, bring it online
  • NSLS II Podman to be installed and tested
  • sPHENIX Farm purchase - to be checked with PPM

IT Services Update:

  • NX : cronjobs minor issues - renewed licenses.  Similar issues with nxcampus01, memory increased and has been rebooted.
  • SDCC webpage - Drupal  version 9  - transparent updates next week

Tools and Services:

  • DocDb - sPHENIX instance - issues with  SSO authentication, configuring with basic auth.
  • BNLBox - Charges for service usage being discussed, external storage discussions.
  • NSLS II reverse proxy issues have been resolved - moving from SDCC to dedicated LS2 proxies.

AOB:

  • sPHENIX - Hardware failure on dCache pool nodes - implementing Nagios monitoring for checking issues
  • sPHENIX VMs - drained 2 farm nodes , will be added to OKD cluster
