Facility News
- Welcome to Vincent Garonne, taking over SDCC Services & Tools Group
- SDCC and NPP groups will begin a joint meeting series
- Chris and Hiro from SDCC with Kolja and Cedric from NPP will co-org this
Experimental Support
- future of Invenio RDM, a document system available to experiments deployed at SDCC
- we have a new pre-production version which needs more testing
- requirements a flexible API to support OSTI DOI
- timeline for Zenodo port to new Invenio RDM version
Fabric
- sPHENIX PO is out for bid
- PHENIX has suffered recently from STAR jobs stuck in a loop to stat afs
- we plan to update the afs client and further investigate
- encouraging experiments to get off afs as support is declining
- other communities are moving away from afs
- discussion with LQCD split and migration to B725 data center
General Services
- NX OTP +/- window fixed by augmenting the response time from 30 s to 90 s
- still troubleshooting disconnect/reconnect issues
- can replicate with laptop that sleeps and tries to reconnect
- will try updating settings for timeout and keep alive
Tools and Services
- dCache operations now implements on on-call rotation
- RT tickets are still the suggested mechanism for reporting issues
- on-call team will improve operational readiness, performance, scaleability and response times
