Asymptotics of decay, threshold and infrared: entanglement and its entropy

by Daniel Boyanovsky (University of Pittsburgh)

US/Eastern
Description

Particle decay, threshold singularities and infrared dressing while seemingly different phenomena yield similar asymptotic states. I will discuss the main concepts introducing a dynamical method to study the the asymptotic long time dynamics and the properties of the emergent entangled state. ``Invisible decays'' or unobserved degrees of freedom lead to an entanglement entropy which grows upon time evolution. Possible consequences will be discussed.
