	I also fully support Thomas' statement. It's very easy for questions about the design to be pushed off when facing deadlines, and while it may be that they can't be fully answered immediately or aren't the highest priority, it's critical that they be factored in the discussions as soon as possible.

	Speaking just for myself - hell yes, there is a lot that has be be developed and evolved from the reference design. Anyone that thinks that a detector designed in 8 months has every base covered is crazy. 
	
	BUT what Or said is also right - we are in a box of cost, schedule and risk. Our solutions to fix the problems with the reference detector have to respect these constraints, and that might mean we can’t let the better be the enemy of the good enough. 
	
	Get used to the idea that both perspectives might be partly right, and we need to work together to make this all work.

	I agree with John's statement; while we have deadlines to deal with, it's important to have a clear idea of all future issues to be addressed.  Delaying these issue CAN lead to them being forgotten or unaddressed due to later deadlines.  Prioritization is needed, but we have to make it everyone should be raising issues and conveners (and others) should be folding these into the plans, even if they aren't the highest priority at a given time.
