Please see the meeting minutes below:

1. Update on Tracking Studies using JANA2 Framework by Shyam:

Shyam presented tracking performance (momentum, DCA2D, acceptance) with the latest EPIC detector geometry (brycecanyon configuration). Comparison with fast simulation studies were carried out as well. Suggested to check the magnetic field setting in the simulation to make sure the latest 1.7T B-field is used. Shyam will study the No. of hits distributions for the tracking pattern recognition evaluation.

2. Magnetic field impact on the tracking performance by Wenqing:

Wenqing studied the tracking performace of MAPS and MPGD detector with different B-field: uniform 1.7T, scaled Babar B-filed and new Marco 1.7T B-field. Found around 10-20% momentum resolution difference between the Marco 1.7T B-filed and other setting in the forward pseudorapidity region, which is consistent with the B-filed difference in the forward z region. Concerned about the tracking performance in the electon endcap region. To achieve better track momentum resolutions, need either allocating a large space in the electron-endcap region for the tracking subsystem or find a way to increase the B-filed to improve the tracking performance respectively. Will present this in the next GD&I meeting for feedback.

3. Production simulation update:

Joe suggested to check the tracking performance in latest simulation production on S3: S3/eictest/EPIC/RECO/22.11.2/   This simulation uses the latest corrected EPIC 1.7 B-field. As suggested by Matt, we need to get inputs from analyzers whether we will generate the simulation samples in uniform momentum bins? We discuss this in the upcoming tracking WG meeting.
