Randy Lewis, Experiences with non-Abelian theories on quantum computers

US/Eastern
Description

Some calculations performed on IBM quantum computers will be discussed.  Examples include hadron masses on small one-dimensional lattices in SU(2) and SU(3) gauge theories, as well as the real-time evolution of truncated SU(2) gauge fields on a few plaquettes.  Emphasis will be placed on a method for error mitigation that provides substantial benefits while also being easy to implement.
