Task Force Discussion Notes Derek Anderson 03.14.2023 Meeting start: 3:05 PM ET Associated particles container - Will be used to store jet constituents until PODIO one-to-many issue is fixed - Uses PDG type & value fields: > PDG type = 0 --> particle is from a jet > PDG value = i --> associated jet index - Currently in the PR for jet factories Jet parameters for sim campaign - Parameters to set: > Jet R > Jet algo > Min particle pT > Min jet pT > Recomb scheme - Values to use: > Jet R = 1 > Jet algo = anti-kT > Min particle pT * Reco = min pT for far-forward/backward trackers * Truth = 0 GeV > Min jet pT = will be set by far-forward/backward trackers > Recomb scheme = E-scheme After PR gets merged, aim to test things before sim campaign - Look at Pythia event: > Cluster jets independently w/ same parameters, and make sure EICrecon produces the same jets For reconstructed particles, we'll want to exclude scattered electrons from jets - Need an electron finder even at MC level b/c scattered electrons can't be explicitly tagged - LO approach is to exclude all electrons > Or could exlude highest momentum electron > But this breaks down at high rapidity since you can have low p but high E electrons - We'll have DIS events as part of this campaign, so we need to do this now > Let's do this: * Reco Level = Exclude highest energy electron * Truth Level = Exclude all electrons Meeting end: 3:34 pm ET
