Description
Strongly interacting fermions on 2+1-dimensional planar defects exhibit many interesting and qualitatively unique phenomena and have been subject to extensive analysis using holographic methods. In this talk, I will describe holographic models of Dirac fermions on spherical defects strongly coupled to gauge fields in flat space. By introducing nonzero masses, charge density, and magnetic fields for the matter field, we trigger defect-localized RG flows which give rise, in the IR, to superconformal Wilson or Wilson ’t Hooft lines.
