Description
The structure of the proton in 3D momentum space is encoded in Transverse Momentum Distributions (TMDs). Understanding them is crucial for advancing our knowledge of QCD. I will discuss recent progress in the phenomenological comprehension of TMDs. I will emphasize open challenges and future perspectives, aiming to draw connections to other branches of nuclear and high-energy physics, thereby underscoring the broader impact of this topic.
