Hi All,
from last week's electronics meeting I came to understand that in the forward TOF
each stave will have its own fiber-optics transceiver (VTRx). Is that a correct statement?
If so then depending on how many different staves are planed (2 or 3) you may
need a different number of VTRx transceivers.
So in the case of 2 different staves there are 260 in total for the FTOF while
in the case of 3 different staves there are 160 in total for the TOF.
This is out of a presentation from May 10th.
Is that more or less correct?
Further more what about the Barrel TOF. I have not seen any presentation or explanation
on how that will look like. Is the plan to have one stave that is 2.4 m long over the full
length of the barrel and this stave will have ONE VTRx? And there will be 244 staves
in total to cover the whole barrel?
thanks for any input and clarifications,
Beni

BTOF 144 staves with two-end readout, 2x144=288
FTOF 64x2 = 128 or 208 total
this means we need VTRx and fiber: 288+208 = 496,
Wei originally put in the request to Fernando for 400,
it appears that 600 is required. Wei made this change to Fernando.
But the original one was already submitted to project. We will see
if this could be updated.
