      we should discuss what material and how complicated the GEANT geometry we should put in the simulation.

      Engagement ring location, material and impact on acceptance,
      How do we approach this?
      asymmetric location with different stave length, how much more resources needed?

      BTOF sensor dimension 64x2 with each channel 1cmx500um (strip along the z direction)
      at two ends of the half stave, there will be half sensors, so that no dead area close to engagement ring.
      also need space for services at the far-ends of the stave (connectors)
      129.75cm short stave length, (129.75cm-2cm)/1.9cm = 67 sensors = 66 whole +2 half
      158.75cm long stave length, (158.75cm-2cm)/1.9cm=82.5 sensors = 81 whole + 2half
