Documents of interest for ePIC in preparation: - a document about the DIS physics case ("Future Opportunities with Lepton-Hadron Collisions"); - a document by the EIC Project Management, with focus on the collider; - a document dedicated to the novel detector technologies in ePIC ("Enabling future detector technology within ePIC at the EIC"); - a document about physics at EIC by the EICUG is also been considered. I am writing to you about the document "Enabling future detector technology within ePIC at the EIC". A draft frame of the document is in attachment. The content and goal of this document is made explicit in the few-line abstract. Please, refer to it. The novel technologies are a selection of those used in the ePIC detector. I am asking you to write up to half a page about the AC-LGADs. The text has not to be deeply technical. It is should include: scientific context, objectives and elements of novelty, methodology, readiness and expected challenges. As examples, the draft texts for HRPPDs and SiPMs for Cherenkov application are already in. The document is written using overleaf and I will send you an invitation with writing privileges. Each detector technology has a dedicated file in the overleaf project. The name of the files is self-explanatory. Please, add your text in the appropriate file by January 10th, 2025.
