Minutes
- Updates / Announcements:
- Zisis summarized last week’s BIC in-person workshop on ESB aspects. Key presentations included cooling, HGCROC (Wednesday), and the Summary slides on Sectors & ESB (Friday). Many productive discussions happened in the joint group sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.
- Dates to remember: R&D Days (April 16-17 - Maria will present); ESB for Baby BCAL (~June), Project Review (August), Beam Tests at CERN (August), ESB Test Article (November), Electrical Engineers Meeting (December?, NASA, ORNL, OSU, Regina).
- Minutes: no review.
- AOB:
- Norbert talked about the two systems that need collaborative work: ORNL-Regina on SiPMs-HGCROC, and NASA-OSU-ORNL on AstroPix-AstroLinx-ETC-HGCROC.
- Maria reported on the ongoing SFIL work in the lab. For future beam tests, we need to devote some electrical and mechanical engineers to come up with designs that are more easily deployable. Maria and Bobae will try to complete the system today, to show integration with Baby BCAL for the R&D on Thursday (Detector R&D Project eRD115).
- We should evaluate whether we join the CERN beam tests in August, together or in parallel with the Korean teams. Wouter mentioned that each of our institutions needs to be a CERN member institution, before training and beam tests.
- Wouter asked for CAD models on mechanics and SiPM boards.
- Zisis gave an update on the fiber testing at Regina. The Fiber Scoring Committee meets later this morning. Maria and Zisis will be present.
- Action Items:
- Zisis will send emails to POC to collect tasks and their duration for Merlin.
- Zisis will send CAD models to Wouter.
- The next meeting will be on April 29. Presentations and updates are always encouraged.
