System Testing and ESB Meeting, Minutes by Maria
Announcements:
ePIC CC Calo Meeting worth joining about general discussions about calorimetry: https://indico.bnl.gov/category/405/
Shefali’s talk
New implementation of cooling with modular plates and exposed pipe
Zisis shares the solutions for GlueX (sent to Shefali)
Henry suggests to put the location of the boards (HGCROC + ETC) more realistically at the source of the heat and see how the heat distribution looks like.
Zisis: How thick is the cooling board? -> 0.6 in
Wouter: How will the boards be populated? If on one side that is fine, if on both we will need to understand the interfaces for cooling.
>> Action item: study the cooling interface for SiPM with connectors - > Shefali
>> Action item: the size of the holes for the EST: give to Wouter: Sylvester + T&K
>> Action item: put 6 sources of heat (ETC) cards + HGCROC and see the heat distribution. -> Shefali
Henry’s talk
Updated estimates from the irradiations (not much change for BIC)
The doses of 100 fb-1 would be max lumi per year
Shin Hyung is planning irradiation for this Friday - room temperature. The irradiations will be active. It would be good to track the irradiation at low-ish doses (10^9 - 10^11), and do not blast immediately with high doses.
>> Action item: Talk to Norbert about a possibility of a on-FPGA topological “zero suppression” logic -> Henry
Bo Gyeong's talk
Summary of the preparation to the KEK beam test
