Minutes

  1. Announcements, Minutes from Previous Meeting, Action Items:
    1. Minutes: Zisis reviewed the minutes,
    2. Dates to remember: KEK tests (June 11-17), ESB for Baby BCAL (June 30), Project Review (August), Beam Tests at CERN (August), ESB Test Article (November), Electrical Engineers Meeting (December?, NASA, ORNL, OSU, Regina).
  2. Reports: 
    1. Single SiPM Board: Akshaya reported on efforts to extract photoelectron peaks from a single SiPM channel, using Aram’s board.  A list of questions and items to check were on her last slide.  Aram will respond.
    2. Expected Dynamic Range: Maria presented studies on the dynamic range.  Norbert added that the 64 channels HGCROC produces 5 W power, whereas the new 3x 108 channel will be around 6W.
    3. SiPM neutron irradiation test: Bo Gyeong gave a presentation on the irradiation test in Korea.  The performance of S13 and S14 SiPMs were compared.  Signals on oscilloscope, leakage current and I-V curves were presented.  Maria suggested that the numbers be converted to 1MeV-neutron-equivalent.

  4. Action Items:
    1. Zisis to send Tegan’s acrylic light guide test results to KNU.
  5. Next meeting: 
    1. July 8 but this will be confirmed. 
    2. It will likely be a joint meeting between Systems Testing and ESB & DAQ. 
    3. Presentations and updates are always encouraged.
