INTT Weekly meeting

US/Eastern
Description

Alignment comment  Joseph

Alignment is studied by using Millipede

CW: Joe said the alignment is different w/ and w/o B-field

100um shift found. Consult with Dan

INTT-GL1 BCO matching issue Jaein

Issue is that the matching ratio was very lower than unity.

Found there are two causes

One is the data handling in the event pooler

Other is that there are some weird BCO at the beginning of the run.

After fixing the event pooler, the matching efficiency become ~100%.

The cause of the weird BCO at the beginning was unknow and under investigation

  • Request of preliminary for timing scan plots: Ryotaro Koike

Timing scan analysis is presented for the poster presentation at the AUM meeting

+ event by event analysis is more suitable because the background subtraction

  • P20 combine two plots
  • Define N1st and N2nd
    • How the asym get negative?
  • Follow the plotting style of BCO difference we discussed before

  • Plots to be shown

 + BCO difference

 + Asymmetry w/ linear scale

  • A small update about BCO space of INTT overflow flag analysis Shan-Yu
     -  Nhit vs BCO is compared w/ and w/o the overflow flag

and found the slope is consistent

  • Approval presentation for beam test analysis for publication ChengWei

A lot of things are updated. Please look at his slide in more details

Some are listed below

- DAC scan revisited to consider how we combine the dataset.

  • Residual distribution is compared with MC
  • Detection efficiency
  • Systematic uncertainty was studied using different analysis cuts.
    • All results are more than 99% efficiency.
  • Multi track reconstruction is first performed using the data w/ Pb plate
  •
  • Questions are asked
    • Normalization of DAC scan data
    • Shape of the slope distribution

  • Call for the paper preparation for the 3rd test beam experiment Genki

o Cheng-Wei should compare data with MC for the systematic error estimation for the efficiency instead of estimating error between different residual cuts of data.

o Takashi should come up with concrete suggestion about the sysmeteric error of DAC peak.

o Cheng-Wei should come up with followup about the peak slope dip

o Reconstruction of the vertex from Pb absorber is a good project for future junior student.

o Cheng-Wei circulates the analysis note to the mailing list.

o Takashi and Itaru will discuss if we call for another meeting for the beam test NIM schedule and announce to the list.

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
