Barrel HCal Meeting

GENERAL
• Stefan: DAC meeting presentation on June 13; "page turn" rehearsal May 28.
• Murad, Stefan met with Derek this week. Derek will prepare slides on simulation.
PROTOTYPE STATUS AND PLANS
• Norbert: Presented during DAQ meeting on Thursday (topic: selection of pico-DAQ) on discussion of the ASIC for ePIC.
• Norbert suggests that detector people attend the upcoming ePIC Collaboration Meeting.
• Olaiya: No updates on the analysis of the test data. (working on ptimization of ML approaches for BHCal simulations.)
• Nathaly: Waiting for the delivery of SiPMs.
• Steve: SiPMs are being remounted (almost ready). Eric will ship SiPMs to Nathaly and Murad.
• Inventory: Total 120 SiPMs are there. 80 are needed for the test stand. Norbert will provide a read-out board to Murad.
SIMULATION
• Derek: Working on slides this week.
• Workfest at Oakridge scheduled the week after next.
• Murad suggests having a meeting with Marcus, and also with Derek before the page-turn meeting.
• Olaiya, David, Nathaly: Upcoming update on the ML approaches. (Optimizing the number of layers and other hyper parameters for the network model)
• Next Friday BHCal Meeting (May 23) - 2.45 PM (changed time): Derek will present simulation priorities.
• Eric: suggests to ask Martin to set up elog on the lab computer (electronic notebook) - Stefan in agreement.
