INTT Weekly meeting

US/Eastern
Description

Genki
   - It is expected that first collisions will take place on Sunday (Jun.
8)
   - INTT commissioning plan was discussed
     - Tasks are listed in the slide

Ryotaro
   - report as the INTT expert. (good to continue)
     -  4k wave studied at the yellow beam and yellow beam will come on
Jun/6-7
     - Single blue beam is circulating and used to study with the
inner/outer donuts counters
       for the MVTX backgrounds.
     -  MVTX auto-recovery works more for the higher data rate
        - during the auto-recovery (30s for each sensor), the MVTX loses
the data
        - the beam background can be large because the beam testing is in
progress.

   - How we proceed the sPHENIX and INTT commissioning
     - First phase of the commissioning was discussed at the last week
        - Task list is summerized in the  google-doc
     -  Commissioning for the tracker is planed after the physics
declared.
     -  INTT timing scan needed 3 hours (1 hour is not enough)
     - Staff members for commissioning
           Genki (-  Jun/17)
           Akitomo (Jun/17 - Jul/3)
           Itaru/Yuko (Jul/3 - )
     - Jaein/Mahiro/Itsuka will take data with the stuff member and
analyze them.

INTT code cleaning up : Joseph
    -  draft PR completed and it is ready for use
        -  people agreed to use it.
    -  This is tentative/Massive consistency check before/after the code
change
         -  It is not efficient to continue this test all the time, so
this is the only time.
             It should always be available.

BCO QA code updated :  Jaein
     - the decode is updated to implement the flat to skip/not skip the
big BCO difference
        between INTT and GL1 BCO.
     -  It is OK to commit it after the issue discussed with Joe is fixed

Beam Test analysis: Cheng-Wei
    - The discussion about DAC scan analysis is converged.
       -  L1 is rejected since the data is not reliable
       -  data is normalized by the 6th bin method.
       - L0 and L2 distribution is averaged to get final distribution
       - ladder by ladder variation is taken as systematic uncertainty

    - S/N is evaluated by fitting w/ Gaussians at the noise region.
       - noise value is 16.0 +- 0.5.
       - YA asked about an expected noise level written in the manual.
           - discussion offline

    - Y scale to be changed to show the bigger figure

   - No issue raised in the analysis for now and good to go ahead for the
paper draft.
      - TH encouraged CW to write the draft together w/ Genki
