Summary of the ongoing activities:
a) Implementation of the quartz window:
Deepak has implemented the quartz window, aided with the parameters from Marco.
Rohit Jhangid (CUH) is taking care of the analysis. Analysis is mostly done.
Some overlaps are seen with the sensor box.
Exam ongoing for the students, second week of June should be ideal for the overview.
b) Event display:
Students of Deepak will take care of it.
c) Trapezoidal aerogel tiling:
Luisa and Annalisa is taking care of it.
No overlap found. Analysis ongoing.
Current trial to have two layers. (Perfect layers without deformation).
In two weeks results can be shown.
d) Square aerogel tiling:
Tanya (CUH) is taking care of it, ongoing analysis.
After discussion with Marco and Silvia, the filter downstream of aerogel can remain an entire piece.
In about two weeks results can be shown.
e) Filter:
The role of filter and SiPM sensor QE has to be studied. (Tiziano Boasso?)
f) Thickness of aerogel:
Preliminary study by Tiziano suggest that the thicker (6cm) aerogel provide better performance.
Fateme is cross-checking Tiziano's result, she can perform a further detailed study.
Two weeks can be a good estimate.
g) IRT:
Alexander has QRICH working, some studies for pfRICH is seen, geometry seems to transportable.
Deepak, Raman and Chandra will take care of ensuring the dRICH studies and incorporation of IRT-v2 into
EICRecon following coding guidelines and software maintenance.
h) Timing of dRICH hits:
Roberto and Pietro needs information related to the time duration of the events to determine the gate for the
SiPM. Therefore, studies related to real physics events needed to determine the arrival time of the true MC
photons.
Furthermore, the timing distribution and TDC information also smearing has to be studied.
Rohit Bhadauria (Ramaiah University) will take care of this.
The first results can be studied in about two weeks.
i) Beam pipe:
Rohit B is taking care of it. This week (23/05 to 30/05), he is keeping this as a priority. First to offcentre the beam-pipe
then to ensure the right bore radius.
j) Geometry optimization:
Connor is taking care of the Paraeto optimization.
