Satoshi:

about workfest in July at JLab,

who are going to be in person?

We used to organize with Far-Forward groups,
what is their plan this time?

I will send an email to Alex asking about this.

Deadline to ePIC management is Friday.

Kentaro:

missing pathleng in the simulation branch
use BW function to fit the mass distribution.
Should have used mass^2 instead of mass,
and maybe use Gaussian?
Gamma in BW is the FWHM, very different from
Sigma in Gaussian.

Simulations of charge sharing and hit resolution have not
been propagated into the official simulation. This needs to be done.

DAC review talks:

final versions?

Uniform format among talks.
Other than ASIC, TOF appears to be ready for construction at the end of 2026.
radiation dose is from integration of 6 months' run per year over 10 years.
BTOF geometry should use the latest version.

Pixel sensors are available at UIC,
ship to Simone?
strip sensors not a lot, one at LBL,
rest (10 3x1, 1 3x1, 5 3x2) at UCSC
all testsed with laser

test beam in Japan, proposed to do test beam by Satoshi
quite flexible with beam time. September recieving sensors for test
Tokoku university facility with 800MeV electron beam

Subject: RE: [[EPIC-Collaboration] ] call for workfest proposals for the July EICUG/ePIC Collaboration Meeting

      Dear ePIC Collaborators:

Apologies for the spam, but we’ve already received some questions, so I wanted to clarify something –

One of the most important uses of the workfest is for cross-cutting discussions that address specific issues/problems within ePIC. We realize that some such discussions may not require an entire morning or afternoon time block, and that’s OK – just request the time you need and we will make the schedule work.

      Regards,
      John

Subject: call for workfest proposals for the July EICUG/ePIC Collaboration Meeting

      Dear ePIC Collaborators:

Registration is now open for the summer 2025 joint EICUG/ePIC Collaboration meeting, July 14-18th:

      https://indico.jlab.org/event/934/

This email is a call for proposals for workfests and/or parallel sessions at the upcoming collaboration meeting. We plan to have workests/parallel sessions in the morning of Tues-Wed July 15-16th, and in the afternoon Wed-Thurs July 16-17th

The workfest/parallel sessions are something that makes the ePIC collaboration meetings special. We encourage people to work with the WG and DSC leadership to develop proposals that encourage interactions and exchange between different DSC’s and working groups – take advantage to the opportunity presented by having a large number of your colleagues present in-person!

Proposals should be sent to the CC and SP leadership, and they should include:

      Names of organizers
Workfest title and topics to be addressed
      Time required and requested days
Number of people anticipated to attend (space required)
Is this more of a parallel session, “workfest”, hybrid?
What overlaps should be avoid when scheduling (DSC’s, PWG’s, etc.) ?
      Are mornings or afternoons preferred?

The deadline to receive proposals is Friday, June 6th. The SP Office, CC Office and Coordinators will work out a schedule in concert with the local organizing committee.
Depending on the number of requests, we may need to combine sessions, or push some sessions into the evening, but we won’t do this without talking with the organizers first and we will do our best to accommodate session requests.

      Regards,
      John, Silvia, Bernd and Thomas
