The incident rates due to backgrounds especially in the electron direction are very high, please see https://wiki.bnl.gov/EPIC/index.php?title=Background The SVT group did a study if this rates at 18x275 GeV are still compatible with their readout and it seems yes the other energies need to follow. During the last tracking ands software meeting a first study on the impact on the tracking performance was presented for inclusive DIS https://indico.bnl.gov/event/29753/ I think it would be nice to know if the MPDG detectors, especially the backward disks can safely operate under this rates at the different center of mass energies.
