Minutes

  1. Announcements, Minutes from Previous Meeting, Action Items:
    1. Zisis mentioned that the GTLs finished a reduced (“must have to continue work”) budget for Production Phase, as requested by BNL.  This resulted in ~40% of the budget being shifted into a second fiscal year.
    2. A joint Korean-N.American management meeting is planned later in November.
    3. The ePIC Collaboration meeting has moved from Vancouver to NY. Norbert mentioned that there will be a CALOROC workfest and it will be good to have BIC people there.
  2. Reports:
    1. Electronics/FEB:
      1. Norbert reported that progress is being made in producing a SiPM Board + cable interface for SFILs, which will be sent to ANL to be tested. Next, they will work on a summing board for SFILs and the interface to Aram’s output.  After all these tests, the design for the CALOROC production version will commence.
      2. There is a Readout/DAQ meeting on Thursday November 20 at 9am EST, with updates from Fernando and Norbert, concerning BIC and other detectors.
      3. It is being considered to add a third chip to CALOROC for 3x36=108 channels, since low voltage power for ETCs and AstroPix will be needed.  R&D and test articles are needed.
      4. Zisis reported that Aram has ordered boards for Baby BCAL that should be delivered in the next two weeks for testing. Tegan is compiling a comprehensive list of measurements for boards, SiPMs, light guides, cookies.
    2. Mechanics:
      1. Zisis communicated with Ross Machine Shop and Tom O’Connor to understand the precise locations of the features needed to bolt ESB-1 (PED) onto the Baby BCAL and to define the tolerances on the light guides.  Once the latter is defined, we will get an updated quote for 6000 units, and make 50-mm-long LGs to be tested at Regina and KNU.
      2. Cooling work continues at UManitoba.
  3. Any other business: None.
  4. Action Items:
    1. Everyone:
      1. Add to ESB SiPM+HGCROC readout ‘notebook’: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sYigAkFCmJEWc_ibXQEzfHkyYoaF8dK-/edit
      2. Develop and log beam test plans; we will likely gather this info in another ‘notebook’.
  5. Next meeting:
    1. Joint meeting between Systems Testing and ESB & DAQ and will be announced.
There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
