Description

The coming decade will open an exceptional window for precision studies of quantum field theory. The HL-LHC will deliver a dramatic increase in statistical power, making percent-level or better measurements broadly accessible across many Standard Model processes. Realizing this scientific potential requires an ambitious theory program capable of understanding quantum scattering processes at an unprecedented level of detail, making fresh theoretical approaches indispensable. Effective Field Theories (EFTs) provide a powerful tool for separating physics occurring at different scales in a systematic way.
In this talk, I will present the application of EFT methods to three frontiers in collider phenomenology, spanning from state-of-the-art resummed predictions, to making fully differential cross sections at N3LO both feasible and systematic, to deepening our understanding of the QFT structures underlying collider physics, with new results on local correlation functions in non-conformal theories.
Together, these developments illustrate how EFT serves as a unifying language for pushing the precision frontier of collider physics, providing a crucial theoretical tool to fully exploit the extraordinary potential of present and future collider machines.
