Meeting topics:

Roman pots scattering chamber and arrangement of the sensor packages.

Attendees: Alex, Yulia, Jonathan, Chang, India, Karim, Ron

Topics:

Primary discussion was on the scattering chamber, movement system, sensor arrangement, and feed-through for the Roman pots.

  1. The scattering chamber has been increased in vertical size to accommodate the full RP sensor plane arrangement to get the needed acceptance.

  2. We had a discussion about the arrangement of the sensor packages to minimize motion stages, simplify the feed-through concept, etc. (see figure attached).

    1. The approach of using a “modified” L-shape, where the vertical rectangular sections have a 90-degree rotated stave “appendage” to get the horizontal portion of coverage. Can this be cooled? To be answered.

    2. On the side of the scattering chamber opposite of the ZDC side, we could have the horizontal wing be completely independent with a single horizontal motion stage. This would require a horizontal extension of the scattering chamber to accommodate such a change. Is this feasible?

  3. The scattering chamber still has to accommodate the needs for the movement system and feed-throughs for the signal/power cables. The current feed-through ports will not work for these purposes.
There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
