Description

In this talk, I will discuss the impact of the reheating temperature of the Universe on the benchmark freeze-in dark matter scenario for direct detection experiments. In this minimal model, a dark matter candidate interacts with the Standard Model through an ultralight dark photon. I will show that, for both very low and very high reheating temperatures, for different reasons, this model becomes sensitive to the highest temperature of the Universe. Therefore, a potential future detection would provide important insights into the conditions of the Universe in its earliest moments.
