Description

We calculate corrections to the leading order real-time static potential in a high-temperature quark-gluon plasma for distances smaller than the screening length. The calculation involves one-loop 2- and 4- point functions in the hard-thermal-loop effective theory. We use our results to estimate the binding energy, the decay width, and the dissociation temperature of the bottomonium ground state. We compare with recent lattice results in the literature.
