ePIC Workshop on Heterogeneous Computing

US/Eastern
Description

ePIC is being designed in an era where heterogeneous computing is central to modern scientific workflows. As a result, heterogeneous architectures are a fundamental part of the ePIC computing model.

This workshop series aims to define a coherent approach to heterogeneous computing within ePIC. The first session will establish the scope and motivation, followed by perspectives from WLCG, DUNE, and JANA2.

Contributions from Geant4, EIC-Opticks, and QuantOm will showcase concrete developments and use cases for simulation and analysis.

The workshop will be held remotely and welcomes participation from the wider community. The next workshop in the series is planned for July.
