Description

Transverse-Momentum-Dependent distributions (TMDs) provide a multidimensional description of hadron structure and play a central role in the interpretation of high-energy scattering processes using QuantumChromodynamics. Recent theoretical developments have enabled global analyses combining Semi-Inclusive Deep-Inelastic Scattering (SIDIS) and Drell--Yan data with unprecedented perturbative accuracy, reaching next-to-next-to-next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic (N^4LL) precision.

In this seminar, I will review the current status of unpolarized TMD phenomenology, with particular emphasis on the development of efficient fitting frameworks capable of simultaneously describing a wide variety of experimental measurements. I will discuss how neural networks can be employed to model the nonperturbative structure of TMDs, significantly reducing parametrization bias and providing a more flexible extraction from data. Finally, I will outline the prospects for the next generation of global analyses in light of upcoming high-precision measurements.
