 upcoming facilities (EIC\, EicC\, SHiP\, and IceCube) requires a highly ac
 curate treatment of heavy-flavor mass effects in deep-inelastic scattering
 . In this seminar\, we present the first complete calculation of heavy-fla
 vor contributions to both unpolarized and polarized DIS at next-to-leading
  order (NLO) in the massive ACOT scheme. In the unpolarized sector\, we fo
 cus on the subleading structure functions F4 and F5\, showing their critic
 al role in tau-neutrino interactions and where the zero-mass approximation
  fails. In the polarized sector\, we present the first massive NLO results
  for the polarized structure functions g1 ... g7\, aimed at constraining t
 he nucleon spin structure. Finally\, we discuss their numerical implementa
