Description

Quantum chromodynamics (QCD) provides the fundamental description of hadron structure, but connecting its dynamics to the partonic structure observed in experiments remains a central challenge. Recent developments based on large-momentum effective theory (LaMET) and related approaches have enabled direct calculations of the Bjorken-$x$ dependence of parton distribution functions (PDFs), generalized parton distributions (GPDs), and other partonic observables from lattice QCD, opening a new avenue for first-principles studies of hadron tomography. In this talk, I will review recent progress in lattice-QCD calculations of hadron structure, highlighting advances in the determination of quark and gluon distributions, improved control of systematic uncertainties, and emerging connections to global analyses and experimental programs. I will also discuss current challenges and future opportunities toward precision studies of hadron structure from lattice QCD.
