[NT/RBRC seminar] Charm-quark production in deep-inelastic scattering: preparing for the EIC

I will present a review of the current theoretical status of charm-quark production in deep-inelastic scattering, including QCD corrections at NLO and approximate corrections at NNLO. I will discuss the use of heavy-quark DIS in determining the charm-quark mass in the MS-bar scheme and in constraining gluon PDFs. In addition, I will present fully differential NLO QCD calculations matched to POWHEG and parton showers.
