Description

The era of multimessenger astrophysics with high-energy neutrinos began with the discovery of high-energy astrophysical neutrinos in IceCube in 2013. Today, after a decade of observation, sign of anisotropy has emerged in the arrival direction of cosmic neutrinos. IceCube has identified neutrino emission from a nearby active galaxies and uncovered a subdominant neutrino emission from the Milky Way. In this talk, I will review these recent results and will discuss the emerging multimessenger picture for the origin of high-energy neutrinos and the new opportunities they offer to search for physics beyond the Standard Model in the neutrino sector.
