Combining quantum theory and gravity remains one of the major challenges in modern physics, as direct experimental evidence is still lacking. In 2017, several groups proposed testing whether Newtonian gravity can generate quantum entanglement between masses. This idea has drawn considerable attention as a new approach to exploring the quantum nature of gravity at low energy scales. However, the proposal has not yet been realized, since detecting the gravity produced by quantum-controlled microscopic systems is technically demanding.
In this talk, we discuss how to amplify gravity-induced entanglement using dynamical instabilities. Specifically, we consider two examples, inverted oscillators and parametrically resonant oscillators, and show that the gravity-induced entanglement can grow exponentially.
