11:05 → 11:20 Secondary Vertexing: Current Status

• SV Priority: after merging AMVF algorithm (EICrecon#1915), 3 final tasks left to complete this priority 
  • ✅ Small refactor of AMVF for cleanup (done in EICrecon#2677)
  • ✅ Validate AMVF performance (see below)
  • Integrate SV-related datamodel (Issue#2656, Issue#2641; see next agenda item)
• Esteban presented on AMVF performance in 09.22.2026 Jet/HF meeting 
  • Successfully extracted D0 mass peak from AMVF (+ SV datamodel) output
  • WIP is located on the implement-svcontainer-output EICrecon branch, 2(ish) major changes:
    • (1) Relaxing epsilon for ACTS track-EDM4eic track matching at vertex
    • (2) Integrating SV datamodel
  • Confirms AMVF working as expected, but poses integration question
• Final step is to integrate datamodel
  • Discussed w/ Esteban on Friday, critical path is merging the datamodel
  • Looking at WIP:
    • Significant extra calculation had to be added to AMVF SV mode to fill baseline SV proposal, mixing vertexing functionality with decay reconstruction
    • Will want to (1) make sure decay reconstruction is moved into separate algorithm, and (2) datamodel can accommodate that
    • Not as big an issue for Helix Swimmer, since algorithm combines functionality by design
