Maintenance Intervention ETA is 8/20 for NFS cut-in, T-O-R switch transition, and re-IP RHIC nodes

HPSS status

round powderhorn silos decommissioning is complete

began repacking DST class from LTO4 tape to LTO7 tape

STAR had exclusive permission to raw ‘18

PHENIX tape purchase was delivered to BNL

 

General Services

SSL settings will be tweaked on the mail server (this should be transparent)

STAR GPFS appliance arrived

home directories have been migrated to the new appliance

request for experiments to do NFS home directory load testing emails were sent out

 

RACF Linux Farm

RHIC cvmfs repos are in place

 

CSI resources

we observed excessive buffering on Infiniband swiches

this is an ongoing investigation with the support of their engineers

GPFS was down for approximately 2 hours during the initial troubleshooting

 

AOB

electricians will require a brief downtime to service PDU feeds in CDCE room for safety

announcement will follow with a possible rolling downtime schedule for week of 7/30
