Description

Vast data samples of b-hadron decays to final states that contain open charm particles have been collected by the B factories and LHCb. One area of use for these final states is the study of fundamental parameters in the Standard Model (SM), e.g., the CKM angle gamma. Open charm final states can be used to search for physics beyond the SM and also as a QCD laboratory. This talk will review recent results in this area and also discuss some exciting new areas where results are expected to be published in the near future.
