Description

In this talk I will explain how to calculate the D meson
mixing parameters x and y in the Standard Model. Charm
physics is notoriously difficult, because most effective
theories and perturbation theories do not apply well.
I propose to study the D meson mixing via a dispersion
relation, which relates low mass dynamics to high mass one.
Taking heavy quark results as inputs in the high mass region,
we obtain x and y consistent with experimental data at least
in order of magnitude.
